Our first BTR blog provides a detailed insight to the quality of hotel that the Grand Hyatt Dubai provides which BTR was fortunate enough to experience last summer when I stayed here before moving into my apartment.
The Grand Hyatt provides and a perfect base to relax in luxury and has multiple restaurants which all provide very nice food and good service - my favorite is the Lebanese which has amazing fresh food; and I would reccomend the Houmus with Lamb. There is also a cake / dessert store on the bottom floor of the hotel which provides freshly made desserts and ice creams if you can squeeze this in after all the amazing food that can be eaten across the hotel. The cafe at the bottom of the hotel also provides freshly made sandwiches if you fancy something different away from the pool service food that is on offer.
Pool - The pool area is definitely one of the hotels best selling points - there is a range of shallow and deep areas for guests to swim, sit and relax within and is also a very good size. I believe there was also a childs swimming pool so this provided an area for younger children to use so the main pool was less crowded. The pool service around was excellent - waiters were very polite, helpful and one of the perks of this hotel experience is the fruit kebabs or ice lollies that were provided during the day at the pool. The sunbeds were very comfortable also and towels provided.
Gym and Spa - The gym and spa area within the Grand Hyatt are also excellent
Room - Our room was very large and cleaned daily to an excellent standard. The full length windows provided a huge panoramic view over the pool and the surrounding area. This hotel is slightly out of the main city (away from downtown dubai, the marina and the palm) however if you are not too bothered about being near these areas this hotel really does provide an excellent service at a good price to relax in the sun. Downtown Dubai and the Mall are only about 15 minutes away - so is a nice trip of an evening, with the Marina being about 30 minutes away - so depending on the type of stay you want this hotel is a great option.
This hotel provides excellence across every area, and if you are looking for a luxury hotel to relax whilst staying in Dubai and dont mind being slightly further out this is by the winner. Booking this hotel provides a base for guests to eat out in the surrounding areas of Downtown Dubai but also provides enough restaurants to stay in the hotel for 7 days straight.
BTR Expert Tip - Request a room on a high floor so you can see out towards the pool and city.
