Myself and Mrs BTR visited the Friday Sparkling Brunch last Friday for the first time.....and a what a great night it was!! We took my parents as it was their last evening in Dubai and were very impressed with the whole evening provided by Latest Recipe @ Le Meridian. Food - There was an excellent range and quality of food provided for this evening brunch. This included off the grill chicken kebabs and good burgers as well as grilled fish - all of good quality (chicken the lower of these). There was mussels available which isn't the norm at a brunch and so BTR senior enjoyed these informing me that they were pretty good. Also from the outside food was pork ribs and a range of pork and chicken sausages - a treat for an expat in Dubai and the ribs were actually very nice, meaty and fell of the bone quite easily. Inside there was also a range of foods including Asian stir fries and the option to have carved meats. The chicken curry I had was VERY nice and the chicken had clearly been cooked slowly as it fell apart when eating. However, with the chicken curry I spooned the top of the dish onto my plate and the surrounding sauce, but underneath this was a very oily sauce / water so I would suggest only trying to pick the chicken from the top. There was also a selection of sushi, cold fish, arabic starters and breads inside. The deserts.......WOW!!! What an amazing selection and taste these provided. There was chocolate, fruits, cheesscakes - a real range. Service - The service that we experienced at our table was excellent, wine glass constantly filled up by the waiter and any requests by us were met quickly, so no complaints. Entertainment - What I really liked about this evening brunch was the excellent entertainment that was provided throughout the evening. There was music, dancing and a man who actually got inside a balloon. All of these were lovely to watch and listen to whilst eating dinner outside, and when guests (us included) asked for one more song the singer provided. BTR Expert Tip - Make sure you request a table outside.....at least before it gets too hot from Spring onwards.
